Meet Taylor, Children's Programming Director and Children's Book Buyer
Originally from the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, I lived in the Midwest and internationally before moving to Houston nearly two years ago. I received my master's degree in Library and Information Science (MSLIS) from the University of Illinois where I specialized in youth services and community health librarianship. Afterward, I worked as a young adult programming librarian within the Harris County Public Library (HCPL) system before beginning my journey at Brazos!
A voracious reader since middle school (thanks to Meg Cabot’s Mediator series #TeamJesseForLife), I often find myself reaching for romances, literary fiction, horror, and dark fantasy. Some of my favorite current titles include The Intimacy Experiment by Rosie Danan, Seven Days in June by Tia Williams, Little Rabbit by Alyssa Songsiridej, Her Body and Other Parties by Carmen Maria Machado, and any historical romance written by either Beverly Jenkins or Joanna Shupe.
Outside of books, I’m a huge fan of The Real Housewives Cinematic UniverseTM and love to spend my free time working on sewing projects!
