The Museum of In-Between Spaces is a flash nonfiction anthology of some of the most striking museums and collections in the world. From the bakery-less Museum of Bread Culture in Ulm, Germany to one of the largest collections of human hair at Chez Galip in Avanos, Turkey; from the ghost haunting the galleries of the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts in Saigon to the two alligators once kept secretly as pets behind The Menger Hotel in San Antonio; from a little girl’s existential reckoning with plastinated bodies at a BODY WORLDS 2 exhibit to a twenty-something’s disappointment seeing the Mona Lisa in The Louvre.

Written and designed by the senior graphic design students in the University of Houston’s School of Art, Graphic Design Program, The Museum of In-Between Spaces  is 110 vibrantly designed pages that grapple with the various forms that museums take and the various ways we try to make meaning in their curated spaces.

The event will include a reading and Q & A with the student designer/writers.

The Museum of In-Between Spaces can be read online here.
