Houston, TX 77005

January 19th is Edgar Allan Poe's birthday, and we plan to celebrate in style!

Join us for a variety of Poe-themed games and crafts, including Mad Libs and origami. Plus, we're bringing back Dean Turner, who will be giving a dramatic reading of Tell-Tale Heart.

Dean Turner has performed on Houston stages for 47 years, since his first role at the age of 14 at the Dean Goss Dinner Theater. He has appeared in over 70 productions, including the Shakespeare roles Bottom, Oberon, Touchstone, Feste and Dromio of Syracuse, as well as in the title role in Everyman, Mortimer in Arsenic & Old Lace, John Smith in Run for Your Wife, Inspector Rough in Angel Street and Sidney Lipton in Neil Simon's God's Favorite. He is delighted to bring Poe's Tell-Tale Heart again to the Brazos Bookstore.
