French Corner Party

Wednesday, January 28, 2015 - 6:30pm
2421 Bissonnet St
77005-1451 Houston

Do you speak or read French? Are you a Francophile—or do you have a Francophile in your life? Then you’ll want to come on out on Wednesday, January 28, for a celebration of our new French Corner at Brazos Bookstore! This party is thrown in partnership with the Cultural Service of the Consulate General of France in Houston.

Brazos Bookstore is one of several bookstores across America opening a French Corner in conjunction with Albertine, a new bookshop in New York that is the only one in the city dedicated solely to books in French and English. Albertine is a project of the Cultural Services of the French Embassy.

To celebrate our great French-language titles and authors—including Nobel Prize-winner Patrick Modiano, Laurent Binet and Annie Ernaux—come join us for French snacks (provided by Tout Suite) and a wine tasting!

The reception will start at 6:30 p.m., and there’ll be brief remarks from Jeremy Ellis (Brazos’ General Manager) and Sylvie Christophe (Cultural Attaché at the Consulate General of France) at 7:00 p.m.

Come celebrate French literature at Brazos!
