In the interview series Borderless: Conversations on Art, Action, and Justice, emerging and established writers talk about the power of words and the role of art in reflecting and changing our world. Held at Malvern Books in Austin, Borderless is hitting the road and coming to Brazos Bookstore in 2019!

Participants/masterminds:

Chaitali Sen is a writer and educator based in Austin, Texas. She is the author of the novel The Pathless Sky, and numerous stories and essays which have appeared in Catapult, Colorado Review, Ecotone, LitHub, Los Angeles Review of Books, New England Review, New Ohio Review, and other journals. She is the founder of the interview series at Austin's Malvern Books, Borderless: Conversations on Art, Action, and Justice.

Anis Shivani is the Pushcart Prize-winning author of several books of fiction, poetry, and criticism, including, most recently, Karachi Raj: A Novel, Soraya: Sonnets, Literary Writing in the 21st Century: Conversations, and the forthcoming Logography: A Poetry Omnibus. His recent political books include Confronting American Fascism, Why Did Trump Win?, and This Is the Only Solution to the Immigration Problem. His work appears in many leading literary journals, newspapers, and magazines.
