TEXAS FLOOD is the culmination of three decades of work and hundreds of interviews with the people who knew Stevie Ray Vaughan best, both personally and professionally.

Stevie Ray Vaughan seemed poised for a new, limitless chapter of his life and career just a few years after his severe addiction to cocaine and alcohol almost killed him. His tempestuous marriage was over, and he was newly in love with a supportive girlfriend. His first collaborative album with big brother and first musical hero Jimmie Vaughan was complete and on the verge of being released. His last album with Double Trouble, In Step, had been his most successful, both critically and commercially.

Instead, it all came to a screeching halt when Vaughan was killed in a helicopter crash on August 27, 1990 after that evening's dynaming performance with Eric Clampton, at the tender age of 35. In the three decades since his untimely passing, his legend and acclaim have grown exponentially. In spite of this, there has never been a full accounting of his story. Until now.

ALAN PAUL is the author of the New York Times bestseller One Way Out: The Inside Story of the Allman Brothers Band, which was widely hailed as the definitive book on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band. He is a regular guest on radio shows and is a frequent contributor to The Wall Street Journal and Guitar World.

ANDY ALEDORT is recognized as an essential contributor to the international music scene for his work as a journalist, instructor and performer for the last 35 years. Over that span of time he has conducted hundreds of interviews and lessons with the world's greatest guitarists for publications such as Guitar World and many others. He has toured and recorded with original Jimi Hendrix band mates Mitch Mitchell and Buddy Miles, with Stevie Ray Vaughan's band Double Trouble featuring Chris Layton and Tommy Shannon, and with Dickey Betts of the Allman Brothers Band. He has sold over one million guitar instruction DVDs and teaches via online sitess such as Truefire as well as privately.

Photographer Tracy Anne Hart will have archival Stevie Ray Vaughan photography prints for sale at this event!
