I’ll be giving this one to almost everyone on my holiday list. Why? Because Houston is an amazing, vibrant, multi-cultural gastronomic paradise! From Fadi’s hummus to Carol Kay’s fried chicken and braised collards; from Poitin Bar’s mussels in shallot-saffron broth to Himalaya’s Rainbow Rice or Harlem Road’s smoked lamb chops or Ginger and Fork’s Beef Chow Fun (oh those slurpy flat noodles!), this is Houston on a plate. Spicy. Soulful. Simmering. Transformative. Glorious.
