No need to leave Houston for spring break—you can travel the world at your neighborhood bookstore! Join us for a week of family programming dedicated to exploring the globe. We’ll have a new in-store activity each day of the week, and also some special events, all celebrating the diversity of Houston!

Saturday, March 11, 10:30am: Spring Break Kickoff
An “Around the World” story time, followed by a kickoff party! Kids will make their travel bags, take their passport photos, mark our in-store map, and begin their trip around the world. Plus a diversity of snacks!

Monday through Friday from 10-4: Come as You Will Self-Directed Exploration Activities and Story Reading
Each day, participants will have the chance to add a new component to their travel bags, get another stamp on their passport, and mark a new destination on the map.


Extra Special Destinations:

Tuesday, March 14, 6pm: Educators Night
To celebrate educators, join us for a party with refreshments and 20% off all purchases with a school ID! Also, come meet some local kids authors and network with light refreshments in hand.
From 6-7pm, come meet Dotti Enderle, Mary Lindsey, and Kim O’Brien
From 7-8pm, come meet Kristin Rae, Meredith Moore, and CC Hunter

Thursday, March 16, 6:30pm: YAC Story Slam
Sponsored by the WITS Youth Advisory Council
Join us and our friends at WITS for a story slam, as teenagers share tales of where they came from. Celebrate the literary voices of tomorrow!

Saturday, March 18, 10:30pm: Spring Break Finale
A spring break story time, followed by our finale party! After a week of exploring the world, kids will create the final component to their travel bags, which will be their souvenir for the week, commemorating their trip around the world!
