According to American health statistics, the #1 cause of death in women is heart disease. However, the #1 cause of death in any woman's spirit is a broken heart. A death caused by grief, bitterness, stress, and unhappiness in situations that don't feel worthy of adoration. Going through life masking the reality that most of us are dead or dying inside unaware of the path toward recovery from our history (we all have history). HERSTORY is a poignant look at my rise from an emotional death. Derived from a personal journey of self discovery, HERSTORY speaks of the acceptance of transitional moments in finding one's true self, passions and purpose for living. HERSTORY examines my delusion of believing I could find true happiness in material gains, food, overachieving, controlling others, reckless living and the list goes on and on. Realizing my ego was only temporarily pacified, I found myself repeating the same unhappy, unfulfilled circle of life and still yearning for happiness. HERSTORY makes a shocking, yet realistic evaluation of what I was actually doing, realizing that I only CREATED an unrealistic view of myself in order to please others. I wanted so much to be better but instead found that I was bitter, broken, and defined by circumstances exhausting my most vital organ: my heart. After years of searching and yearning for happiness, I then began to search for solutions in finding lasting happiness & little did I know my life was about to SHIFT, everything I knew was about to be different through a transitional moment that I was afraid to experience. God was about to offer me the gift of finding my life's purpose in helping cure the #1 cause of spiritual death among women. We all have the ability to remove bitterness and become better but where do we begin? Honest, self evaluation recognizing that HERSTORY could be your history. Let the evolution begin. Are you ready to evolve? Giving H.O.P.E. to women all over the world. Helping Other People Evolve You are not defined by your circumstances, you are better because of them.

Cloris La Rue's writings are purposed to empower the spirit as too they will encourage and inspire people to become better in recognizing the importance in being true to themselves. She was raised in the small town of West Columbia, TX as she witnessed life in the simplest form where walking was pleasurable and people spoke to one another because they were graced with another's presence. They too knew they were blessed to witness as they were thankful for the privilege of their own life. No longer defined by the perceptions of what others believe she should be but by what God has created her to be, embracing her poetic roots and caramel skin she has been birthed to awaken her generation to understand the importance of connecting with inner self to discover one's purpose. She has recognized that although many women are broken and defined by circumstances, overcoming will unveil layers and allow the light of a spirit to shine through.
