Augusta was born and raised in small town North Carolina. She learned to read from a very young age and has never stopped. She moved to Houston in 2005 where she studied cognitive sciences at Rice University. She enjoys reading biographies, fiction, science, psychology, cultural studies, religion, philosophy, art, poetry, and food writing particularly but, let’s be honest, will read anything you put in front of her.
